We No Sleep

Trip to Fred Meyers; he's secure!
We have figured out how to best shop with Jamisen - we put his car seat into the bottom of the shopping cart and go tooling through the store. He LOVES the trip down the aisles and his eyes are SO wide looking at all the colors. We don't have a lot of room in the cart for groceries but you can't have it all.

Fundraiser to elect Kelli Linville Mayor
Already starting his political career
Jamisen attended his first political fundraiser and we got some fantastic photos of the (hopefully!) next Mayor of Bellingham doing lots of kissing of his forehead. With his tie, he was a hit! And everyone at the party complemented Chris on how amazing he was with Jamisen. I could've told 'em that but it was sure nice to hear other people raving about Jamisen's Daddy.

Little hat for a little man
Jamisen has a new sun hat for the lake. It's less bonnet like and more fisherman, though he looks nothing like a crusty old fisherman and more like a spry little fly guy.
Working with Daddy
He's getting good with his neck and sits up and watches Daddy work on the weekends. This is a new thing and most of the time, he uses the opportunity to spit up but since he's still our spitter (the Doctor says it will be over soon enough; I don't believe her), that's pretty much par for the course.
Wearing a tie to help Daddy
If Jamisen looks like he's gaining weight ... it's because he is! He is in the 19% weight percentile now at 12 pounds, 5 ounces. Yay! So even though we're having to supplement breastmilk with some formula, it's 100% worth it (hormones in the formula be damned; maybe they'll help him grow I guess) because he's finally growing. We're thrilled with the fact that he's over 12 pounds and are looking forward to that correlating to him sleeping through the night (for which we are nowhere close - we're still at 3 hour stretches). I'm looking forward to giving you a good sleep report ... hopefully soon!
